Subliminal Antihero Hero

I want to pounce on this world with words,
tell a truth or two—wake people up.
I want to decorate every wrong with a right,
prevent and break up fights—leave decadence behind.
I want to launch a missile of peace at every town,
the world around—make the bad guys surrender their guns.
I want to put love and compassion inside a pill,
take hate off the bill—prescribe it to my fellow man.
I want the true heroes in this world to get involved,
like good parents, kind neighbors, et al—not movie, rock, or sports stars.
I want to knock down buildings so nature can grow back up.
I want this dream, and your dream, and all dreams to come true.
And I want to be a hero—a subliminal antihero hero.
